About San Diego County Herald

San Diego County Herald covers San Diego County, California: San Diego, Chula Vista, Escondido, Carlsbad, El Cajon, San Marcos, Encinitas and La Mesa. Alongside our own county coverage we carry the newest stories from across California and the rest of the country.

Our writers follow the work of local newsrooms and write their own accounts of the stories that matter. Every article names and links the outlet whose reporting it is based on, along with that report’s original publication date. Article images are illustrations generated for publication, not news photographs.
